Elena Petrova is the Retro Emulation Reviewer for sx2nether.com, where she tests Android emulators with the patience the hobby demands. Her reviews focus on accuracy and playability together: whether games boot, how they run, and whether the settings an emulator offers actually help on real hardware.
For NetherSX2, Elena installs each build herself and tests it with legally backed-up PlayStation 2 games from her own library, checking game compatibility, graphics rendering, controller support, save states and widescreen patches across different Android devices. She pays close attention to the setup steps a new user will face, from BIOS loading to the first playable session.
Every NetherSX2 build Elena covers is installed and checked on real devices before any download button goes up on this site. When a new version arrives, she re-checks installation, permissions, performance and safety, and updates her notes so the download information here stays accurate.
Areas of Focus
Every emulator Elena Petrova covers goes through the same hands-on process, which is set out on our how we review page.
